The design of this playful lamp by San Francisco-based Branch Creative references the times of day when the rising and setting sun alters how our world is illuminated. The clever use of metalised glass produces two distinctly different effects when the light is off or on.

The lamp's three rounded shades seem to be made from solid brass but in fact feature a mirrored coating applied to glass diffusers. When the lamp is turned on it reveals the conical light sources concealed within each shade. The lamp can be suspended anywhere in a room to provide an elegant source of ambient illumination.
